Meet the Band (from left to right)

Alan Good | Bass Guitar

Alan started playing bass around age 7, traveling, performing and recording southern gospel music with his family. For the past 25 years, his most regular musical outlet has been playing and writing worship music of varying styles. Along with the occasional studio work, he has performed with Katie Grove, Jessica Crawford, EZGO and others. Hobbies include mountain biking, fitness training and a little acoustic guitar playing on the side. He resides in Harrisonburg with his wife and two daughters.

Scott Beckler | Saxophones

Scott is a native of Harrisonburg, VA and has been playing the sax since 6th grade. He graduated from Turner Ashby High School and then from Eastern Mennonite University with a major in Liberal Arts. Since graduation, Scott went on to join Everyday People in October 2009. EDP is Scott's first exposure to the music industry, and it has been a worthy challenge. In addition, Scott is a substitute teacher for Rockingham County Schools and teaches music privately. During his leisure time, Scott enjoys being with his girl, playing video games and taking care of his aging cat.

Sharon Randolph | Vocals

Sharon has been singing for as long as she can remember, performing in various choirs and musicals along the way. She joined Everyday People in 2006 for a few years before leaving to start a family, but she is excited to be back with the EDP family again! In addition to the band, she also performs in V.O.I.C.E., a local ensemble that performs Benefit concerts for various charities.

Ron Porter | Vocals

Starting out in the church choir, Ron always had a passion to sing. Without ever learning to read music, Ron developed an ear that lead him to singing in concert choir in High School. Aside from singing in a cover band shortly after college, Ron had not performed with a band again until joining Everyday People in 2009. Ron brings a high-level of energy and top-notch stage presence that fits perfectly with EDP's music.

Jim Cochrane | Electric Guitar

Jim Cochrane grew up in Uniondale, Long Island where he started playing guitar in high school. Early influences included Jimmy Page, Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen. He played in various local garage bands doing rock covers and then put down the guitar for a few years. In 1993 he moved to the valley and was introduced to funk, soul and R&B. This inspired him to pick the guitar back up and in 2001 he became a charter member of the then trio, Everyday People.

Craig Hofstetter | Trumpet

Craig began playing trumpet back in the 5th grade. He played through high school in Ohio until he attended Eastern Mennonite University where he played trumpet in the big band. Craig continued playing swing after graduation in the band Just Jazzin’, which he still plays in today. Craig began to sub with Everyday People in 2004 and became a steady fixture in the horn section in January of 2006. By day Craig is an accountant for Cargill.

Travis Whitmore | Drums & Cymbals

Travis began playing drums at a very early age. Living in Nashville, TN for several years, Travis worked as a professional studio and touring drummer. Opportunities included touring North America with indie musician Matt Brouwer and has recorded with artists such as Sawyer Brown. Currently residing in Harrisonburg, Travis offers custom drum tracks and on-site recording projects out of his home studio.
